Advisor Sharma takes stock of prevailing situation, development scenario in Kathua

KATHUA , Aug 18: Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting at Lakhanpur to take stock of development scenario besides taking comprehensive review of prevailing situation in Kathua district.
DDC Kathua, Dr. Raghav Langer, ADC, Ghanshyam Singh, ASP, Ramnish Gupta, DC Excise Toll Post Lakhanpur, Ashish Gupta, AC State Taxes, Ajit Singh, SE Hydraulic Circle, Suresh Sabharwal, SE PDD, Sandeep Seth, Engineers and other district officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the DDC informed the Advisor that schools and colleges were functioning normally and all essential services are being maintained properly across the district.
The Advisor took a detailed review of various developmental activities being carried out in the district and the achievements registered in various sectors including Health, PDD, PHE, PWD, Education and Agriculture.
The Advisor asked the DDC to evaluate the issues flagged by people during Back to Village programme and chalk out effective strategies to resolve the same in a time bound manner.
The Advisor also sought present status of languishing projects which are under execution by PWD, Education, PHE, PDD and other departments.
The Advisor directed the executing agencies to complete all the development projects within the set time frame for the benefit of the general public. Meanwhile, progress on implementation of Saubhagya Scheme in the district was also reviewed by the Advisor.
The Advisor exhorted upon the officers to work with sincerity and remain active in the field to bring more value to the public service in order to provide good governance to the people at their doorsteps.
The DC Excise Toll Post Lakhanpur briefed the Advisor about the revenue realized and future course of action.
