Jammu Runners Group felicitates top runners of 100 days of running challenge

Jammu, Aug 18: Members of Jammu Runners Group, Jammu felicitated the top runners from Jammu who participated in an online running challenge "100 days of running 2019". 100 days of running is an online running challenge in which runners across the globe participate and make an effort to run a minimum of 2Kms per day for 100 days without missing a day. This year was its 5th edition in which more than 11000 runners from 23 countries took part from 27th of April to 4th of August, 2019. A total of 60 runners from Jammu also took part in this challenge.
At the end of the challenge, Samvit Sharma topped among runners of Jammu, running 2760 kms. He was followed by Amarjeet Singh Jeetu ( 2502 Kms) and Abhishake Gupta ( 2409 Kms). Among eves, Dr. Anju Jain topped in Jammu running 722 Kms followed by Shipra Aggarwal ( 562 Kms) and Anju Choudhary (486 Kms). Besides Mst. Bheesham Gupta ( 722 Kms) topped amongst teen runners. He is overall 3rd in his category of Male teenage runners and has secured his place in overall leaders board in the challenge. All the top runners were presented with a memento by senior runners of namely Prabhat Singh, ( S. S. P. Retd), Rajesh Padha, Surinder Choudhary (Dy. S. P. ) Sham Suri, Dr. Dilawar Khan, Pawan Sharma and Kanupriya Garg.
