SMVDU organizes workshop on classroom management

Jammu, Aug 19: The School of Languages & Literature at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University inaugurated one week TEQIP sponsored workshop on the role of soft-skills in the classroom management (19-23 August 2019).
Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay, Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Nagendra Kumar, Head, FoHSS, IIT Roorkee & Prof. Binod Mishra, Faculty, FoHSS, IIT, Roorkee and Prof. Rajneesh Arora, Director, EFLU (Lucknow Campus) were the main resource persons for the workshop.
There was a huge participation from in-house and outstation participants, chiefly from JNTUA, Anantpuram; faculty members of NIT, Tripura and teachers of various colleges from Jammu, Haryana and Srinagar. Prof. Mukhopadhyay emphasized on the significance of classroom management for the present day teachers. Also, he appreciated the efforts put up by the Coordinator, Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi and the team including Dr. Anurag Kumar (Convenor), Isha Malhotra and Dr. Simranpreet Kaur (Organizing Secretries) for organizing this workshop in such a volatile time. Dr. Anil K. Tewari, Head, School of Philosophy and faculty members of other Schools also joined the inaugural ceremony. The organizers expressed their gratitude to Padam Shri Prof. (Dr.) Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, for allowing them to organize the event. Prof. Sinha conveyed the best wishes for the event and wished The participants a fruitful learning.
