BLSKS presents Dogri musical play "Raja Mandlik"

Jammu, Aug 19: To promote the traditional Folk Culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, for first time in the history of J&K presented Dogri Musical Play "Raja Mandlik" dedicated on life & Teachings of Raja Mandlik & Baba Kaliveer based on "FOLK THEATRE" in close coordination with Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India on the theme of National Integration and communal Harmony. The Progame was inaugurated by Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of parliament along with presiding officer Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor after lighting the traditional lamp. The Chief Guest underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through theatre / Drama which are still very powerful medium of communication. He also urged the artists / cultural Organizations to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage of the country and inspiring the younger generation to follow the footprints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the Nation. Sharma strongly advocated for preservation of old rich traditions of Saints/deities/elders who have sacrificed their lives for the betterment of the mankind. Earlier Welcome song was also presented by the Artistes and students of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Sangam Tru art Production & National College of computer education. In addition to above Blsks Completed 274th Saturday Series Musical Play till date.
