Schools reopen in Ramban; to reopen in Banihal tomorrow

RAMBAN, Aug 19: All schools including Primary, Middle and Higher Secondary were reopened today in Ramban district except in Banihal Sub Division.
The excited students were seen making a beeline to their schools and appeared satisfied to see their class work resumed after 14 days.
Due to non functioning of mobile network here, hence the lack of communication attendance of students was thin. According to the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban Nazim Zai Khan the schools upto middle classes will be reopen in Banihal Sub Division tomorrow.
He said that the situation is being reviewed daily and if it continues to remain so as it has been then the cell phone network will also be resumed soon. The landline telephones have already been working.
All schools were closed on August 5 following the restrictions under section 144 CrPc due to the apprehension of law and order problem.
Meanwhile there is no restriction under section 144 CrPc in Ramban district today except in Banihal town where it is being imposed leniently and many a shops are open besides private and some public vehicles were also plying.
