Jammu, Aug 20: To promote the traditional Folk Culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, presented Dogri Musical play "Raja Mandlik" dedicated on life & Teachings of Raja Mandlik and Baba Kaliveer through " folk theatre in close coordination with Ministry of Culture , Govt. of India on the theme of National Integration and Communal harmony. The program was inaugurated by Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of parliament. Chander Mohan Gupta , Mayor JMC Jammu presided the function- at Abinav Theatre Jammu-the other day.
The play commenced after lighting the traditional lamp by the chief Guest and the dignitaries. The Chief guest Called on the Civil Society and the Govt. in preserving Cultural Heritage of the country. Speaking at a function Sharma strongly advocated for preservation of old rich traditions of Saints/deities/elders who have sacrificed their lives for the betterment of the mankind. The 2- hour Mega Dogri musical "Raja Mandlik" play written, produced and directed by M.L. Dogra (Chairman BLSKS ). |
