Jammu, Aug 21: 40 over Cricket tournament today began on the Cricket ground of KC Sports Club today afternoon. The newly spruced up ground with its 18 central tracks offers the best possible playing environment in Jammu with its finely manicured grass surface and ball-to-ball live video capture for post-play analytical feedback for the benefit ofparticipating teams. The teams participating in the tournament are 5,3 KC Sports Club Elevens A, B and C, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy and the well-known Vishal Cricket Club of Jammu. Several cricketers of national and international fame are taking part in the championship. The event took off with an elegant opening ceremony presided over by former Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami, IAS (Retired) as the Chief Guest and Rajesh Gill as the Guests of Honour.
Batting First KCSC A made 188 runs in 40 over. From Batting side Fazil Rashid ,Atul Choudhary and Rajinder Sharma (Qazi) made brilliant 50,38 and 33 runs. From Bowling side Hisham Salim took 3 important wickets whereas Zunaid,Ram Dayal and Vijay Dogra took 2 wickets each.
While chasing the target KCSC B Bundled at 171 runs. From batting side Kanav Saini,Ram Dayal and Shivansh made 47,39 and 29 runs. From bowling side Arvind Bhardwaj took 5 important wickets where as Vicky Raina,Arjun Chowdhary,Nitish and Lakshay Sharma took one wicket each.
KCSC A won the match by 17 runs.
Arvind Bhardwaj declared as Man of the match and awarded with Gift voucher sponsored by Ramada Hotel.
