REASI, Aug 21: A plantation drive was organised at Poultry Demonstration Centre Kambaldanga Reasi today in collaboration with Forest Department Reasi.
Divisional Forest Officer Reasi, Anil Kumar Attri was the chief guest on the occasion.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Ramesh Razdan, Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals participated in the event in which around 50 saplings of different plant species were planted.
The speakers stressed on the importance of large-scale plantation to deal with the challenges being posed by climate change.
Dr Razdhan enlightened the gathering about the significance of trees in prevention of damages caused by the devastating floods.
