After peace prevails, all political activists released in Kishtwar, Govt shifts focus on developmental activities

Jammu, Aug 21: After normalcy return in Kishtwar District following the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A of the constitution by the government of India, District Administration Kishtwar released all the political activist who were either arrested or put under house arrest since last over two weeks of detention.
As per the details available with "Early Times", after releasing social activisit Shakir Hussain Siddiqui, NC District Secretary Shabir Ahmed Kamal on health grounds and PDP Additional Spokesperson Umar Malik, District Administration released NC Youth President Farooq Ahmed Dev, PDP Youth President Wasil Doolwal late last night while at the same time Immam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo, NC District President Kishtwar Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo and PDP District President Kishtwar Advocate Sheikh Nasir Hussain was also allowed to move outside their homes for the first time in last over two weeks as all the three public figures were under house arrest and no one was allowed to meet them during the house arrest.
Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar following his release from house arrest also lead the day prayers at Jamia Masjid Kishtwar and did not issued any statement with regard to government decision of abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A.
Social Activist Naseer Ahmed Baghwan and Arshad Hussain Mattoo son of separatist leaders Molvi Abdul Qayoom Mattoo according to the sources has also been released, however there was no official confirmation on the release of these two.
Advocate Shahik Saroori, counsel of both the detained persons earlier told the "Early Times" that all the formalities have been cleared with regard to release of both of them.
A senior NC leader according to the sources told the administration that party is committed to follow the instruction from the higher authorities and the only and last message from the party Vice President Omar Abdullah is to maintain peace and communal harmony and assured the administration that the party leadership at Kishtwar is committed to promote peace and communal harmony and further told them that whatever the party leadership decided, they will follow the same and cannot decided anything at its own at the time when party leadership is under detention and called for their immediate release.
In another development, the security around the house of Senior Congress leader and former R&B Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori who is still under house arrest.
The reason behind putting the Saroori under spot came in wake of aftermath of heavy rush of people from different walks of life to his home and the authorities fell that allowing such huge number of people to visit Saroori might be a threat to peace in coming days as he (Saroori) has lambasted the government for abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A.
Meanwhile after peace prevail in the District, the government has shifted its focus on developmental works.
As per the details available with "Early Times", DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today held two important meetings with officers of key departments for achieving the aim of 'doubling the farmers income', beside to review progress and functioning of PMGSY.
