Div Com Jammu reviews progress on land acquisition
DCs directed to expedite pending cases

Jammu August 22: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma today directed Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division to resolve all pending land acquisition requisition cases of Army, BSF and CRPF.
He passed these directions while chairing a meeting of Deputy Commissioners convened to review the progress made so far.
The meeting was attended by DC (land) BSF Jammu, Dalip Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Tahir Firdous and senior functionaries of CRPF, BSF, Army and other concerned while Deputy Commissioners along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The DCs apprised the Div Com about the present status of land requisition and acquisition cases in their respective districts.
It was informed that in some districts most of the cases have been resolved and sent to home department for further action, while in other districts process is on.
The Div Com sought case wise details of land acquisition and requisitions and asked the DCs to resolve the pending cases at the earliest.
