Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 22: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Thursday asked people to reject the politicians who during all these years have just rendered lip-service.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Anand Vihar, Munish said that the people of Jammu have been ignored by all the regimes which have come in power since 1947.
"Reorganisation of J&K has provided people of Jammu with a chance to stand on their own feet and to reject all the leaders who during all these years took them for a ride", said Munish, who would be contesting forthcoming assembly elections as an Independent Candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He said, "I have been meeting the people continuously for the three months, most people have a common complaint that the politicians disappear from the scene after getting elected and forget the masses who voted for them."
Munish said, "It is very unfortunate that the people have lost faith in the political system and they don't trust the politicians. But, I assure my people that if I win the elections, I will remain available 24x7 and will see to it that issues confronting common people are resolved. I hope my people will repose trust on me and give a chance to serve them."
