Dharmarth Trust takes out Shobha Yatra with religious fervour

JAMMU, Aug 23: An impressive 'Shobha Yatra' was taken out on the eve of Krishna Janamashtami here on Friday
J&K Dharmarth Trust in collaboration with Sanatan Dharm Sabha took out a Shobha Yatra in which attractive and beautiful Jhankis depicting different aspects of Lord Krishna's life were tastefully and beautifully displayed.
Hundreds of devotees drawn from different parts of the city and outskirts joined the 'Shobha Yatra'. The devotees were singing Bhajans and dancing on the tunes of drums enroute the Yatra. The people in different bazaars had erected welcome gates to greet the Shobha Yatra.
The Shobha Yatra was started from Raghu Nath Ji Temple here after passing through various markets culminated at in the Temple premises later. The Shoba Yatra passed via Raghunath Mandir Chowk -Veer Marg - Shaheedi Chowk -Rajinder Bazar- Kanak Mandi -City Chowk -Old Hospital Road - Purani Mandi - Link Road- Jain BazarChowk Chabutra -City Chowk- Upper Bazar-PP Panjthrithi-Mubarak Mandi-Chowk Chabutra Pacca Danga - Moti Bazar -Raj Tilak Road - Purni Mandi Chowk- City Chowk - Raghu Nath Bazar and culminated at Shri Raghu Nath Ji Temple.
Members of Muslim Federation and Muslim Ittihad Front also participated in the Shobha Yatra.
The District Adminis-tration, Jammu, had made elaborate security arrangements en-route and a big contingent of police was escorting the Shoba Yatra.
Secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust, Dr Sat Pal; Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma; Council Members Y.V Sharma, Ajay Gandotra and Mubarak Singh; Inspector General of Police Mukesh Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sushma Chouhan, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Raghunath Bazaar Businessman Association President, Surinder Mahajan, Baledev Khullar, members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha and prominent civil society members also participated in the Shobha Yatra.
