Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Sahitak Sabha hold Literary Meet

Jammu, Aug 25: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu and Punjabi Sahitak Sabha, R S Pura organized joint Literary Meet at Simbal Morh, Jammu today where intellectuals, writers and poets were present to present their creations. Renowned Urdu Ghazal writer Deepak Arsi presided over the programme whereas S. Amar Sing Kuka, Vice- President, PLS was the chief guest. Dr. Monojit, President, PLS and S. Harjit Singh Uppal, President Punjabi Sahitak Sabha, R S Pura shared the presidium. S. Harjit Singh Uppal, President, PSS welcomed the guests and writers.
An academic paper was presented by Rajbir Singh on the Punjabi novel titled 'Chashm- e- Bulbulbul' written by Smt. Surinder Neer. Punjabi poems were recited by Pritam Singh Anjaan, J P Singh Azad, Sharan Star, Rajbir Singh, Jang S. Verman, Harjit Singh Uppal, Balwinder Singh Deep, Swami Antar Nirav, Amar Singh Kuka, Bachan Bharti, Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Dr. Baljit Raina, Resham Kour Resham, Kulwant Singh, Gurwinder Kaur, Chanpreet Kaur, Prabhjot Kour, Suraj Ratan, M S Kaamra and Gurdhian Singh Saanjh. Dr. monojit presented his views on his visit to Unuted States recently and read out a mini- story. An interaction was also held to critically evaluate the literary creations presented in the programme.
Speaking on this occasion, S. Deepak Arsi put light on the art of Ghazal writing for the new generation poets. He also presented his poetry in the programme. He appreciated the good participation of young and senior writers and poets in the programme.
S. Harjit Singh Uppal conducted the proceedings of the programme.
