Ramban, Sept 3: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers here to review progress of languishing projects being executing by the different departments.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Harbans Lal, ACD, Zaffer Banday CPO Kasturi Lal, XENs of PHE, PWD, EO, MC Ramban, Dy. CEO, ADs Planning and other district and sectoral officers of different departments.
The DDC reviewed the physical and financial progress of projects of PHE, PWD, RDD, Irrigation, Education and local bodies. He directed the ACD to construct rain water harvesting ponds under Jal Shakti Abhyan.
He directed the officers to accelerate the pace of ongoing work to achieve the tangible results and stressed on convergences of resources of different department for better results on the ground to meet the aspirations of the public. XEn PWD was directed to closely monitor the ongoing road and other project.
To put in extra efforts for judicious and effective utilization of funds, he asked them to remove bottlenecks hindering developmental works.
The DDC directed the officers to generate awareness among the public regarding benefits of water conservation and other schemes of their respective departments launched by the government for ensuring sustainable development. He directed officers to ensure public participation in developmental activities. |
