DC reviews management of various Shrines of Kathua

Kathua, September 4:- Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer looked through the management of various shrines of Kathua in back to back meetings with the committee members of these shrine committees.
Committee members of Khwaja Peer Varun Devta Shrine, Billawar; Jasrota Sanatan Sabha and Jasrota Kali Mata Shrine beside Airwan Temple Management discussed several issues with the DC and sought early redressal of the same.
The management committee of Khwaja Peer Varun Devta Shrine, Billawar discussed issues related to improving pilgrim amenities at the shrine viz. constructing new building, cooking shed and other facilities.
Jasrota Sanatan Sabha and Temple Committee members demanded fresh election for both the committees to give fresh impetus to development around the shrine area.
Airwan Temple Management Committee members raised the issue of management of Temple donations and maintaining proper bank account besides fresh elections for management committee.
DC listened to their issues and advised them to register/renew the management committees of these Shrines and get regular financial audit of their bank accounts. He further stressed on installing IP Cameras for surveillance around the shrine.
For conducting fresh elections DC suggested all the committee members to first develop consensus among them and then prepare a proposal for election and submit it to the DC Office.
In relation to Airwan Temple, DC directed Tehsildar, Nagri to resolve the issue of donation box and deposit the donated money in the concerned bank account.
Tehsildar Nagri was further directed to conduct fresh elections for framing new committee and also decide upon the electorate for this proposed election.
Among others ADC, Ghanshyam Singh, ACR, Devinder Paul, ADC Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, DTO, Nagesh Jamwal, Tehsildar HQ. Asstt. , Tehsildar Nagri and other concerned officers were present on this occasion.
