| Police recovers narcotics powder in Rajouri town, one arrested. | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 5: A team of police headed by Incharge Police Post Rajouri city, SI Suresh Sharma and DySP (Prob) Ishan Gupta under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani and DySP Headquarters Surinder Khadyar was on routine naka duty at Tariq bridge when a white colour car PB10CJ- 4670 was signalled to stop but driver of the vehicle attempted to break the naka.
However, alert cops on duty foiled the attempt and managed to intercept the vehicle and driver was detained.
During frisking of car, 10 grams of suspected narcotics powder was recovered from the vehicle after which driver was arrested on the spot who has been identified as Sharanjeet Singh son of Kartar Singh resident of Jewal Jammu.
Car has also been been seized under relevant sections of law and case FIR No. 540/2019 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri. |
