KATHUA, Sept 5: Under the supervision of Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Session Judge Kathua), Pawan Dev Kotwal, a legal awareness camp was organized by Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Aarti Mohan, at Panchyat Ghar Khokhyal on the theme "Water Conservation".
The objective of the programme was to educate the people about the need and significance of water conservation besides elaborating on different methods to deal with water scarcity.
Speaking on the occasion, Retainer lawyers, Sunita Kumari and Neeraj Kumar enlightened the audience regarding the need of water conservation and ensuring availability of potable water for future generations.
They encouraged the people to report to the authorities regarding any problem related to water leakage through pipes, open hydrants, abandoned free-flowing wells etc.
The programme was also attended by the Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority and Tehsil Legal Services Committee Kathua.
Sarpanch of village Khokhyal, Sonia Kumari presented the vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, Tehsil Legal Services Committee Hiranagar, Billawar and Bani also organized Legal Awareness camp on "Water Conservation" at Government Higher Secondary School Marheen, Panchayat Ghar Dramni and Panchayat Ghar Kanthal. |
