FSFTI hails Govt's step to get extension of last for PMSSS students

Jammu, Sept 5: Federation of Self Financed Technical Institutions (FSFTI) appreciated the step taken by Jammu & Kashmir Govt to knock the doors of Supreme Court thereby getting the relief in extension of the last date of admissions till 15th Sept for PMSSS students for the State of JK. President, FSFTI and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Near Chandigarh, Dr. Anshu Kataria while appraising said that on the same lines, JK govt should also get the extension of date for every student of JK. Kataria further said that under PMSSS over 5000 students of JK take admission every year in various colleges but the total number of students of JK other than PMSSS accounts to 25000. Over 20,000 students still couldn't approach in the colleges due to restrictions imposed in the state after the revocation of its special status.
An application was filed through Advocate Shoeb Alam on behalf of the Higher Education Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir seeking an extension of admission to engineering colleges across the country for students selected for Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS).
