Governor interacts with Officers of 43rd Higher Air Command Course

Srinagar, September 6: Air Vice Marshal S.K. Jha along with a group of Officers undergoing 43rd Higher Air Command Course, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Sh. Jha apprised Governor about the schedule of the Group, who are here in the Valley with the plans to visit Armed and Air Force Formations and Units in forward areas.
During interaction with the Officers, Governor lauded valour of the Armed Forces in securing borders of the country and their invaluable support to Civil Administration on various occasions of manmade and natural disasters.

Mechanism in place for redressal of public grievances: Advisor Sharma
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 06: Advisor to Governor K K Sharma today said that adequate mechanism has been put in place for immediate and effective redressal of public grievances.
The Advisor said this during his interaction with various public delegations who had called on him here at Governor’s grievance cell at Church lane to apprise him with the grievances and issues faced by them.
More than 25 deputations and 15 individuals called on the Advisor and apprised him about their grievances and sought their immediate redressal.
A deputation from Mustafabad HMT raised the issue of construction of drainage network in their area and called for immediate redressal.
Auqaf Committee Haigam demanded augmentation of electric infra in their area besides installation of electric transformers and providing adequate potable water.
Safaikarmchari Union Sopore demanded regularization of their services.
A deputation form Nawabad Baghwan Pora Lal Bazaar called for augmentation of water supply network in their area.
A deputation of residents of Saida Kadal demanded for a playground in their area.
Traders Union Qaimoh called for change of Tehsil.
A deputation from Kupwara raised several developmental issues of the area especially those related to providing of potable drinking water.
Deputation from Rajouri also raised the issue of augmentation of water supply infra and adequate supply of drinking water.
Teachers of J&K Police Public School raised several service issue matters.
Several deputations from Pulwama raised several issues related to augmentation of electric and water supply infra.
Several deputations from Government employees also raised issues related to their service matters like regularization, promotion, payment of gratuity etc.
Besides, various individuals also called on the Advisor and informed him with various issues related to R&B, Housing, PDD, Finance and sought their immediate redressal.
After giving a patient hearing, the Advisor assured the public deputations and individuals that the administration would look into their demands and issues on priority. He assured that necessary instructions have already been passed to the concerned so that people do not face any kind of difficulty and inconvenience.
