CTF demands to keep license fee order in abeyance
9/6/2019 10:08:46 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sep 6: In a meeting called to discuss the order issued by Jammu Municipal Corporation u/s 324 & 328 demanding compulsory payment of fees for obtaining NOC to be allowed to work within Municipal limits, Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF) today urged the authorities to evolve consensus on the issue by taking all stakeholders into confidence.
Neeraj Anand, President, CTF also had a telephonic discussion with Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Pankaj Magotra and other concerned authorities over the issue. CTF impressed upon the authorities to keep this order in abeyance since the state is passing through a crucial phase and would soon have UT laws to deal with, it would be prudent to wait rather than create unnecessary unrest in the city especially when post abrogation of Article 370, forces inimical to the peace of the region are highly active.
As per a CTF communiqué, members present were of the view that instead of having multiple licenses to govern the trade government should contemplate issuing one license for one trade on lines of "One Nation One Tax" so as to increase ease of doing business.
Prominent among those present were Parveen Gupta, Raman Gupta, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Tushar Gupta, Ajay Gupta and Parag Abrol.
