ADGP Armed takes stock of security situations in Sopore, Baramulla

Srinagar, Sept 6: ADGP Armed J&K S.J.M Gillani accompanied by IG CRPF Rajesh Kumar and IG Prisons S.S Khandare visited Sopore and Baramulla yesterday to take the stock of present security situation in the area as well as welfare and functioning of the manpower of IRP battalions deployed there.
Besides getting a knowhow of the Law and Order situation of the Sopore area, the ADGP took the stock of welfare and functioning of manpower of IRP-3rd Bn. headed by its Commandant Gh. Jeellani-SSP. The ADGP interacted with the Jawans and Officers of the unit and issued necessary instructions to the Commandant regarding welfare and functioning of Jawans.
Thereafter, the ADGP paid a visit to IRP-13th Bn. Headquartered at Baramulla to assess the security situations of the area and took the stock of welfare and functioning of Jawans and Officers of the unit.
During his visit to IRP-13th Bn. Headquarters, Gillani inaugurated the newly established wet and dry canteen and fitness centre (gym) of the unit.
The ADGP also held a durbar of the officers and Jawans of the unit headed by its Commandant Shri Aijaz Ahmad Bhat-SSP.
Abdul Qayoom-SSP Baramulla, GOs, NGOs and a good strength of lower subordinate staff including recruits of STC Sheeri were also present in the durbar. The ADGP Armed appreciated the role of officer and jawans of IRP-13th Bn. and other security agencies in ensuring the peace and tranquility in the area and ensuring protection of public life and property. While addressing darbar the ADGP Armed stressed upon the officers for ensuing conducive atmosphere in the area by initiating various public friendly programmes and maintaining the sanctity of the public service.
