UDHAMPUR, Sept 6: The district administration Udhampur has taken cognizance of Early Times report published in its September 5 edition under caption 'Land grabbers galore in town, houses of prominent people on illegal land.' Within one day of the publication of the news item, the Municipal authorities on the direction of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur today demolished the illegal boundary wall constructed on the nallah.
It is pertinent to mention here that the news item had highlighted that the land grabbers are now out to grab nallahs and lands adjoining them.
Surprisingly many schools, hotels, residential houses have come up over such nallahs after putting a big concrete slab over it and encroach land adjoining it. |
