Rotary Club Jammu celebrates Teachers Day

Jammu, Sept 6: The Rotary Club of Jammu under the Presidentship of Rtn Dr. Anil K. Amla organised a programme to celebrate Teachers' Day. Under the Rotary International Project "Literacy", the Nation Builder Awards were conferred on the renowned teachers of Jammu in various fields. The Nation Builders Awardees are Dr. Subhash Gupta, Senior Professor in the field of Medicine and Retd. Principal, Govt medical College Jammu, Prof. Santosh Gupta, Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma HOD Hindi, Jammu University, Sharmik Mahajan a Senior Gym Trainer at Tone House Gym Jammu, Gunjan Kohli PGT English, KV Jammu. The Project Director Rtn. Dr. Abhishek Sachdeva briefed the citation of all the awardees. Dr. Subhash Gupta who happened to be former Rotarian gave details of his experiences in the field of eye surgeries as he is the senior most and renowned Ophthalmologist of J&K. Besides a good gathering, Rtn. Dr. Anil K. Amla, Rtn. Prem Shankar Singh, Rtn. Dr. Gaurav Vaid, Rtn. Harbans Singh, Rtn. Ravi Kant Sharma, Rtn. Dr. Navneet Gupta , Rtn. Aman Sharma, Rtn. Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva, Rtn. Deepak Baboo, Rtr.Rajat Singh, Rtn. Kuldip Singh, Rtn. Sat Pal Verma, and Rtn. Sunil Kumar Sawhney along with other Rotarians were present. - with Ravi Sharma and 15 others.
