Two day special Lecture concludes at Govt Polytechnic

Jammu, Sept 6: Er. Anuj Mahajan, Assistant Professor, School of Computer science and Engineering, delivered a special invited lecture as a part of two day extension lecture series w.e.f. 5th September to 6th September 2019 at Govt. Polytechnic Jammu (J&K). The expert enlightened the audience that the Man has long feared the rise of the machine - his own creation becoming smarter and more intelligent than the humans. But while artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly changing our world and empowering the Fourth Industrial Revolution, humanity does not need to be afraid.
The Expert also focused that how machine Learning has changed the world by creating the Jobs, Automation of systems, Transforming Government, Delivering Health Care, Creating Art. All these should be helpful and quite useful for the world. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic Jammu, greeted the speaker by his welcome note. He emphasized the importance of such extension lectures as very crucial for all round development of students and making them aware of new technologies apart from standard course curriculum and called special lectures as a great platform for exchange of ideas. He also encncourages to organize such events that would update the students and the faculty of the college with current technological resources. He also focuses on the building of relations between the academic institutions by doing such events.
