ISRO lost contact with Chandrayaan-2 not spirit, hope: Raman Suri
9/7/2019 10:12:58 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 7: Feeling proud of India's achievement in space technology and it's exploration, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Executive Member, Raman Suri today said it's just the Chadrayaan-2 that lost contact with Indian Space and Research Organisation (ISRO) and not the spirit and hope, which is still intact and high. The scientists at ISRO, he added, had put in a lot of efforts but since things didn't go as per the script, entire nation stands by them at this hour. The gesture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in consoling and encouraging the engineers and scientists was exemplary. The way Narendra Modi stood by the scientists shows how India is proud of its space missions and is going to come up with more vigour and achieve that no-one has ever achieved, Raman Suri said adding that this is not the end. Soft landing of Chandrayaan-2's Vikram module on the Lunar surface did not go as per script in the early hours of Saturday, with the lander losing communication with ground stations during its final descent. This was something that shocked scientists but silver lining in the cloud is that India made an attempt which many nations cannot even dream of. India, Raman Suri said is proud of ISRO's space missions that till date have been giving us information about weather, communication, agriculture, television and radio besides enemy positions and helping students as well.
