Jammu, Sep 7: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Saturday said that forthcoming assembly elections are an opportunity for the people to write a new chapter in the history of Jammu region.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme ................. Munish said, "One fails to understand why the leaders who represented us fail to deliver and live up to our expectations."
"We need to ask them direct questions why they even fail to provide us with basic amenities", said Munish, who would be forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Munish said, "The assembly polls are round the corner. Leaders who have represented us in the past will come to us and seek vote, and will once again make tall promises. It is high time we change our mindset and ensure that we don't get carried away."
He said, "During the past 70 years Jammu based leaders got many chances to set the things right and put Jammu on the path of development, but they failed to utilise the opportunity that came their way. They just remained content by paying their role of junior partner."
Munish said, "People should realise that the vote is most important weapon they have and they should use it for changing their destinies." |
