Dogra Degree College organizes plantation drive

Jammu, Sept 7: Dogra Degree College organized a "Plantation Drive" in Bassi, Palli & Tanda village of Samba. As a goodwill gesture BBA/B.A/B.Com 1st Semester planted trees collectively. The Plantation Drive was organized under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Balwant Thakur and Dogra Degree College faculty members Arushi Salathia, Aradhana Sharma, Neha Verma & Rajinder Kumar. 90 NSS volunteers divided themselves into four groups and guided by their teachers planted trees in the premises of Govt. High School Palli in the presence of Head mistress Sunita Chauhan and the staff of the school, Govt. Primary School Bassi in the presence of Master Kushal Singh and the staff of the school and in Physical health centre Bassi in the presence of Dr. Seema Izaz and her team. The Sarpanch of the village Randhir Sharma and ward member Tarsem Lal were also present on the occasion. Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust appreciated the gesture of planting trees and creating living memories and asked students to take a pledge not only to plant trees but also nurture them. Col K N Padha (Retd.), Director Administration & Campus Development, Dogra Educational Trust also gave his blessings and advised the students to keep their environment beautiful & green.
