Udhampur, Sept 8: Jagriti Senior Citizen Club Udhampur held a meeting in the premise of Jagriti Oldage Home Udhampur under the patronage of Club's Patron-in Chief Dr. RC Nagar largely attended by office bearers and members of the Club. A large number of retired fraternities from different departments joined the Club as members. Briefing to the media, in a press conference after the meeting Mahadeep Singh Jamwal ex police officer flanked by office bearer Jugal Gupta, Col Balwant singh and others disclosed that since inception of the Jagriti Senior Citizen Club Udhampur on 21 August 2019, by registered organization 'Jagriti Social and Non-Political Organization' more than 50 retired top level government officers/officials from Administration, Education, Engineering, Sports, Police, Health Services, Sheep Husbandry, MHA, Excise, Commercial Taxes, Agriculture, LIC, Revenue, Defence, Bankers and business community, Media fraternity have obtained the membership of the Club. Apprizing about the activities to be undertaken under the banner of Jagriti Senior Citizen Club Udhampur, Jamwal said that the objective of the Club is to aware the society about social evils existing in the society and to create a healthy society, to propagate and promote the welfare measures announced by Government of India/State Government, to keep a hawks eye over the quality of the development works undertaken at various levels, to bring the expertise and experience of retired Government employees from State, Provincial, District level and down below camaraderie at one platform as to assimilate their expertise for the welfare and development of the society, to bring Udhampur again on the horizons of the Sports activities, once an honor to the Udhampur.
