Trikuta Nagar snatching case solved, 2 arrested; cash recovered

Jammu, Sept 8: Trikuta Nagar Police have solved the sensational cash snatching case involving around Rs 10 lacs within 48 hours and arrested two youths who committed the crime.
Addressing media persons at Bahu Fort Police Station, SSP Jammu informed that Police team led by Inspector Parvez Sajjad, SHO Channi Himmat has cracked Rs 10 lacs Trikuta Nagar snatching case.
"On the basis of complaint filed by Rajinder Paul Gupta of Trikuta Nagar Jammu lodged at this police station against two unidentified persons who have snatched a bag containing approximately Rs 10 lacs rupees. Who fled away on motorcycle after snatching the cash", he said, adding that during the joint course of investigation conducted by Sub-Div East, Police Party picked up one suspect namely Shabaz resident of Gujjar Nagar and his friend Basit Khan resident of Rajouri.
"During the course of investigation both the accused spilled beans as to the incident, that how they planned and hatched a criminal conspiracy. They followed the complainant from Nehru Market to Trikuta Nagar and snatched the bag containing cash. Whereas the motocycle used by these people have been recovered alongwith Rs 5.10lacs out of stolen amount Rs 9.45 lacs", he said, adding that soon remaining amount will also be recovered.
Meanwhile, on recovery of stolen amount Rajinder Gupta, who was present in Police Station appreciated entire police team comprising SP South Vinay Sharma, SDPO City East Rajinder Singh, SHO Bahu Fort Bisnesh Kumar and SHO Channi Himmat Parvez Sajjad.
"I'm glad on recovery of my stolen amount and I expressed my gratitude of Police department for timely actions and solving the case within 48 hours", he added.
