Rahul Sharma donates Rs 31000 to Tawi Trekkers

Jammu, Sept 8: To augment the financial status of Tawi Trekkers J&K for the promotion of adventure activities in J&K, Rahul Sharma, Chairman, Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu and a senior member of the club, donated a sum of Rs.31000 to the club besides annual membership fee of Rs.12000/-. The cheques were presented by Rahul Sharma to the General Secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K Shawetica Khajuria in the presence of Ram Khajuria, President of Tawi Trekkers; Arti Sharma, Principal of Apple Kids, Bantalab, Jammu; Vice-Principal of Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu Ms Vidhina Mahajan and Abhimanyu Sherpa, pioneer sport climber of J&K. It may be mentioned here that Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu under the chairmanship of Rahul Sharma has been in the forefront to promote adventure activities in J&K especially Sport climbing and trekking. The school has a standard 40ft high fiber glass sport climbing wall on which all the district and open sport climbing competitions of Jammu province as well as State Competitions are regularly conducted. The school has the unique honour of hosting the first ever National Sport Climbing Championship for visually impaired climbers besides conducting many North Zone competitions on this climbing wall.
