| District admin issues Earthquake Advisory | | |
Doda, September 09: In view of the Earthquake tremors that struck the district yesterday and today, Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, has issued advisory informing all the Educational Institutions and the district offices to undertake mock drills for the next two days.
As per the advisory, there would be certain guidelines for conduct of mock drills like after a mock alarm all the officers/officials and students present in the Institutions and offices shall move to safer places outside the building lines/ Electric lines particularly in open grounds and take shelter at such places in the buildings where the Earthquake tremors can cause least harm to the individuals such as under the door beam, corners of the room and under the desk/ table etc.
Moreover, the offices/school buildings which have developed cracks and apparently seem unsafe should not be used during these days.
Besides, all the field officers and officials shall keep abreast their respective district officers regarding day to day position and tents and other temporary safety structures already issued during the last Earthquake 2014 should be put to use to avoid any loss of life in case of any expected aftershock under intimation to the control room of the DC office already setup in this regard.
Further, all the officers are directed to sent the photographs of the mock drills through e-mails and other sources of communication to the office of DC Doda. |
