Police arrest two bootleggers, seize country made liquor

Kathua, Sept 9: Police Station Kathua seized country made liquor in two Police actions and two bootlegger arrested. Acting stringently against liquor smuggling , Police Station Kathua seized 80 bottles of country made liquor and arrested two bootleggers in two separate Police actions. Acting on a tipoff , Police team of Police Station Kathua led by SI Ved Parkash apprehended one person namely Sidhant Sharma son of Sanjeev Sharma resident of Shiva Nagar ward no.16 Kathua at Shaheedi Chowk Kathua and seized 40 bottles of country made liquor in his illegal possession. Police Station Kathua registered a case FIR no 290/2019 under section 48(a) Excise Act against the accused. In an another decisive action, Police team led by ASI Shashi Paul on a reliable tip off apprehended another bootlegger namely Sashi Paul son of Dev Raj resident of village Uttri Kathua and seized 40 bottles of country made liquor in his illegal possession. Police Station Kathua registered a case FIR no 290/2019 under section 48(f) Excise Act against the accused.
