India Army destroys terrorist launch pads near Leepa Valley in Pak-Occupied Kashmir

New Delhi, Sept 9: The Indian Army destroyed terror launch pads in Chakothi near Leepa Valley of Pandu sector in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Monday. Sources said the Pakistani Army was targeting the Indian villages from these terror camps to facilitate infiltration. Tensions between India and Pakistan have intensified after the Narendra Modi government abrogate Article 370 of Indian Constitution that gave a special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and bifurcated the border state into two union territories.
Last week, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat had said that Pakistan was stepping up efforts to activate terror training camps once again and push infiltrators across the Line of Control. The Army chief, however, assured that India was ready for a war with Pakistan.
India has categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Article 370 was an internal matter of the country and also advised Pakistan to accept the reality.
Meanwhile security has been beefed up across Jammu and Kashmir following intelligence inputs that Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is planning to carry out attacks on camps of Indian Army and other security establishment along international border in the state.
According to the latest intel inputs, four Lashkar terrorists are involved in plotting attacks on several Army Camps and Military stations across the Valley. Sources said the terrorist might make attempts to attack on Bari Brahmana camp in Samba district and Sunjwan and Kaluchak Army camps in Jammu region. There are also reports of terrorists planning to infiltrate through Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
Early in the month, two Pakistani terrorists were arrested by the Army while they were infiltrating through the Line of Control (LoC) into Jammu and Kashmir. Nazneen Khokhar (25) and Khaleel Ahmed Kayani (36) were nabbed by army troops from the upper reaches of Gulmarg last week and being interrogated.
The government and the Indian Army have maintained that Pakistan has intensified its efforts at increasing the strength of terrorists in launch pads along the LoC over the past few days and pushing maximum infiltrators into Jammu and Kashmir.
