MIET faculty presents research paper at UK

Jammu, Sept 9: An assistant professor of MIET Mekhla Sharma attended the IEEE Smart World Congress organized at De Montfort University at Leicester in United Kingdom from 19th Aug- 23rd Aug 2019.
IEEE Smart World Congress 2019 explored state-of-art advances and innovations in cyber, physical and social worlds characterized by ubiquitous intelligence.
Mekhla presented a research paper titled " Intelligent Resource Discovery in Inter-Cloud using Blockchain" in the 16th IEEE International Conference on Advanced and Trusted Computing (ATC 2019) which was a part of the IEEE Smart World Congress. The paper included a novel mechanism of using blockchain for maintaining authenticity and transactional records of interactions among different cloud service providers and is the first instance of the use of blockchain in the domain offering superior security and efficiency over existing schemes.
The paper shall also be indexed in IEEE Xplore, Ei Compendex and Scopus. Mekhla is about to complete her PhD in Computer Science under the supervision of Prof. Jaiteg Singh, Chitkara University, Punjab and Prof. Ankur Gupta, Director, Model Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jammu.
