Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 9: Women Club "Meri Pehchaan" has hailed the new traffic norms, issued by Union Ministry but put serious question mark over its repercussions. According to press release, Sandhya Gupta, founder of the Women Club said that the penalty imposed on people is out of bounds for the poor people of the nation. "The new step taken towards motor vehicle acts can also lead to corruption of traffic police cops collecting large amount of fines from citizens of our country. The government has taken a very positive step towards traffic control, but the fine value should be calculated according to the value of the vehicle one is driving", she said, adding that poor people would not be able to keep vehicles. |
