Locals ridicule dilapidated condition of Devika road

UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: The road linking ancient Devika temple to National Highway at Shiv Nagar W No 10 is in dilapidated condition there by giving tough time to the commuters.
A large number of senior citizens visiting Devika temple and cremation ground face hardships as the road got damaged due to heavy rains and routine wear and tear but the Udhampur Municipality and district administration is unconcerned about it, said Bunty Sharma, a shopkeeper.
Devotees visiting Devika temple to pay obeisance told Early Times that the road has been in a pathetic condition for the past some time but the administration has failed to pay attention towards its repair.
The officials of the concerned department are not taking any step to provide sigh of relief to the locals, they added. Link to Mangoo Bowli in Ward No 10 has already been wiped out due to heavy rains due to which the resident are facing lot of problems, they alleged.
