License of medical shop involved in NDPS case suspended, shop sealed

JAMMU, Sept 9: The License of a medical shop which is involved in NDPS case has been suspended and shop sealed on Monday. According to police sources, on 7/9/2019, FIR no 249/2019 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, wherein 158 Tramadol capsules were recovered from the possession of the accused named Mudassar Ahmed, son of Mohammad Yaseen, resident of Mawalkote Sangaldan, Gool, Ramban at present Peer Bagh Colony Sunjwan.
The accused operated a medical shop under the name and style of "Rose Medical Hall" situated at Peer Bagh Colony on Bathandi Sunjwan road.
In relation to this, the concerned Drug Inspector was requested to take appropriate action against the erring chemist. Thereafter, on September 9, 2019, the Drug Inspector visited the premises along with the police team. After inspection, an order was passed by the Drug Inspector suspending the operation of the firm under section 22(d)of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 in violation of conditions of the license and the shop sealed, until further orders.
