Jammu, Sept 9: Nagrota Police has arrested seven persons with heroin and cash and also seized luxurious (Range Rover) cars from the possession of the arrested people. According sources Police teams led by SDPO Nagrota, DySP Mohan Sharma raided various places and successfully cracked down on people involved in crime. "In a series of raids at various places across Jammu, the team apprehended seven peddlers including Bharigu Sharma, Ashok Chib, Sunil Kumar, Salman Sajjad, Satnam Singh, Tajinder Singh and Babadeep Singh, (Amritsar Punjab) and Umer Nazir", they said.
"110 gm of heroin like substance has been recovered along with cash of ?2,27,000, four vehicles (Range Rover DL1CU/5922; Creta Jk02CU/6186; Wagon R,JK17/4908; Ambulance PB02CQ/6663) have been seized in the matter", they said. Sources said that in this connection a case under FIR No. 353/2019 u/s 8/21/22/27-A, NDPS Act, 279 RPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation initiated. |
