Dogra college organizes mock summit on climate change

Jammu, Sept 10: Department of B.A., Dogra Degree College, organized a Mock UN Summit on climate change, today, here in the conference hall of the Dogra Educational Trust.
This event was organized to make students aware of how the countries all around the world perceive the threat of global warming and climate change and what are the steps taken by them to cater to this problem?
The event started with the introductory speech of Vijay Shan (Lecturer in political science-Dogra Degree College) who was playing the part of the President of the UN Assembly, which was followed by the speech of Itika Kaur(student of B.A 3rd Semester) . Playing the part of Secretary General, she also hosted the Summit.
Abhimanyu, Vijay, Shubam Gandhi, Shubam Sharma, Arvind, Rupally, Sana, Afsara, Chehak (students of B.A. 1st and 3rd semester) were the other orators representing different countries. Urgency for taking actions against the ever growing threats of climate change was stressed upon by every orator. Also the various roadmaps, in sink with their respective geo-political priorities, were also suggested by them to counter this global threat.
This event was organized and coordinated by Vijay Shan (Lecturer in political science-Dogra Degree College) with help of Azhar, Arif, Nikhil,Shivani, Amol, Abhishek and Barkha (students of B.A. 1st Sem), and was presided over by Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College, accompanied by the staff of Dogra Degree College.
