Man cheated by ATM fraudster, police register case | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 10: Police registered a case of cheating as an old man was cheated by the ATM fraudster when he was going to withdraw cash from an ATM located at Gangyal and Rs 2 lakh were withdrawn from his account. When Surinder Singh, went to withdraw money from the PNB ATM in Gangyal, he had never thought that he was on the target of ATM fraudster. According to police sources, on August 21, 2019, Surinder visited PNB ATM in Gangyal and tried to withdraw cash but due to unknown reason, he failed to get cash and it was the right opportunity for the fraudster to replace ATM card of Surinder. The fraudster managed to replace the card and fled from the place. A written complaint lodged by the Surinder Singh, son of Naseeb Nagar, a resident of Tral, District Pulwama, at present Sector No 2, Channi Himmat with Police Station Gangyal stating that he came to know that some unknown person has withdrawn Rs 2, 04,000 lakhs from my account through ATM on several occasions. A case under FIR number 99/2019 under Sections 420 RPC has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started. |
