SAI felicitates Indian Wushu team

Jammu, Sept 10: Director General SAI Felicitated Indian wushu team for the excellent performance in the Star League 2019 Shanghai cooperation Organization international wushu championship at Langzhong (China).
Indian wushu team remained overall 2nd in the Medal tally with 1 Gold 5 silver and 1 Bronze medal in the star League 2019 Shanghai cooperation Organization international wushu championship held at Langzhong (China). 08 countries are participating in the championship China, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan,Russia and Kurgistan.
09 member Indian wushu team was sanctioned by the SAI at Cost to Government. The Gold medal secured by Mukesh Choudhary defeating Pakistan and China in the final and semi finals. The silver medalists are
Sunil Singh, Vikrant Baliyan, Ravi Panchal, Suraj Yadav, Mahipal Singh and bronze medal secured by Uchit Sharma.
Director General SAI congratulated the medalists and the coaches for the excellent performance in the championship and wished best of luck for the 15th world wushu champio ship at Shanghai from 17th to 24th Octover 2019.
The team was headed by Kuldeep Handoo (National Chief Coach) and Rajesh Kumar Tailor(coach). Jnder the able guidance of Kuldeep handoo the team got 04 medals in the 18th Asian Games and Lone Gold medal so far in the World championship at Kazan in 2017.The team is under way for the National coaching camp at SAI Bhopal in view of the 15th World wushu championship at Shanghai next month
The president and the General secretary of the Wushu Association of India sh. Bhupender Singh bajwa and Suhel Ahmed congratulated team India and thanked SAI, MYAS and IOA for the support.
The office bearers of wushu Association of J&K Sh. VIJAY saraf (President) Sh Ranjeet Kalra(Sr.Vice president) Sh. Deepak Handa (VP) Sh.Gotam Gupta(VP), Sunil Sharma, Sohit Sharma and General secretary Bhavneet congratulated the India team and the Coaches for the fantafabulious performance.
