KVK Jammu organizes workshop on NADCP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 11: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jammu organized one day workshop for farmers/stakeholders to create awareness about vaccination, disease management, artificial insemination and productivity at KVK Jammu during the launch of nationwide "National Animal Disease control program for Foot and mouth disease & Brucellosis and National Artificial Insemination" today in collaboration with department of Animal Husbandry Department Jammu. The programme was attended by more than 115 farmers from different blocks of Jammu district. Shamsher Singh Manhas Member Parliament Rajya Sabha was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Dr K.S Risam Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu was Guest of honour. On the onset of programme, Dr Rakesh Sharma Incharge KVK Jammu welcomed the participants. During the inaugural session Dr K.S. Risam Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu spoke in detail about the different programmes related to development of Animal Husbandry sectors by Government of India. Chief Guest Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member Parliament Rajya Sabha inaugurated the live webcasting and highlighted the importance of National Animal Disease control programme for FMD & Brucellosis and National Artificial Insemination programme in detail by PM. He further emphasized on utilizing and saving of Animal wealth of the country. He appreciated the efforts made by scientist of SKUAST-J for generation of latest technologies and implementation at the grass root level. |
