Back to Village programme: Execution of works on in 312 Panhayats of Rajouri

RAJOURI, Sept 11: The execution of works under Back to Village programme is in full swing across 312 Panchyats of Rajouri district.
The information was given today here at a meeting held to review the pace of progress on the under execution works. The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh Chief Executive, SE Hydraulic circle Rajouri, SE EM&RE, AC Defence, Ramkesh Sharma, DFO Rajouri, Sanjay Gupta ,DFO Nowshera, DFO social forestry, Rakesh Saraf, Chief Education Officer, M.A Rather, Chief Horticulture Officer, Rakesh Kotwal, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sunil Sharma ,Chief agricultural Officer, Janak Raj Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri Division, Mohd Zubair, Executive Engineer REW, Rajouri division, Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri/Nowshera division, Assistant Director FCs&CA, Mukhtar Ahmed Lone, Block Development Officers besides other concerned district and sectoral offices.
At the outset, the DDC informed about the number of works to be executed by different departments under Back to Village programme which he said includes 775 roads, 34 tractor roads,238 culverts, 166 bridges, 51428 electric poles, 128 playgrounds, 77 community halls,58 bank branches etc.DDC also sought a detailed report of the progress of works taken By RDD which were reflected during the programme. The block development officers briefed about their targets and the number of works completed so far.
The DDC asked the BDOs to provide the physical and financial status of all the works being executed in different panchayats and complete the targets within shortest possible time.
The XEN-REW was directed to formulate a plan for the establishment of Maize Mandi at Siot, one each CFCs at Thanamandi and Nowshera and Sunderbani. He was also asked to prepare DPR for the establishment of a milk collection centre at village Lam.
The DDC asked the concerned officers of RDD, PWD, PDD, PHE, Social Forestry and others to make effective plans so that the targets are achieved within stipulated period of time.
