AAROH judokas excel in district Jammu Judo Championship

JAMMU, Sept 11: The young and enthusiastic AAROH's judokas participated in a three-day district Jammu Judo Championship held at Indoor Complex, MA stadium. AAROH' kids brought laurels to the organization by winning dozens of medals in different categories .
Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta, who was chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the winners by giving them medals. Speaking on the occasion, he assured aspiring youth of Jammu for better sports infrastructural facilities in future. Senior Vice President of J&K Judo Association, Kuldeep Singh and incharge IT Cell of BJP, Jaidev Rajwal were guests of honour.
Earlier, around 300 judokas in various weight categories of different age groups took part in this competition held under the supervision of technical panel comprising Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia and Rameshwar Singh.
The AAROH's champions include Anju (32kg)- sub-junior, Anjali (40kg)- sub-junior, who won gold medals while Varsha Mandal (36kg)- sub-junior, Shivani (48Kg)- sub-junior, Nirjala (44kg)-under-12, Varshi (52kg), Sarojini (72kg), Ishfaq Ali (30Kg)- under 10, Razar Ahmed (30Kg)-under 10, Mohammad Reyaz-under10, Sooraj (35Kg)- sub-junior bagged silver medals.
Rahul (24Kg)-under10, Sunny (30kg)- sub-junior, Shubham (30kg )-under 10, Sanjay (35kg)- sub-junior, Aakash (35Kg)-sub-junior, Mayeen (60kg), Sumit (35kg)-sub-junior, Shivam-under10, Mukhtyar (20kg)-under 8, Shabiya Naaz (40kg)-under 12, Saket Ali (20kg)-under 12, Anjali (28kg)-sub-junior, Nisha ( 36kg)-sub-junior, Madhu (44kg)- sub-junior, Abbeba (32 kg) -under 12, Delnaaz (32kg) - under 12, Shazia (24Kg)- under-12 and Meena (20kg)- under-8 won bronze medals.
