| Small scale contractors frames body for Nagsini block | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Sept11: The small scale contractors hailing from different project areas of Kishtwar District, particularly from Nagsini area held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ghulam Qadir Lone, retired defense personal and elected it's President and other office bearers with an aim to highlight the issues and problems faced by the small scale contractors in Nagsini block Kishtwar District.
On this occasion Ram Krishan Sharma was elected as President of Small Scale Contractors Union Block Unit Nagsini while Tariq Hussain Mala has been chosen as General Secretry of the Union.
During the detail discussion, it is impressed upon all the participants to work together for the very purpose of goodwill, welfare with the sanguine hopes and had unanimously decided to constitute a committee who will look after the redresser of the grievances.
It is pertinent to mention that three mega power projects Viz Pakal-Dool, Kwar and Keru with aggregated capacity of around 2120 MW power capacity falls in Nagsini of Kishtwar District and the small contractors alleges discrimination on part of the companies presently engaged by the government for execution of these power projects by denying opportunities to them at the cost of big players by advertising works to which these small contractors are not eligible due to the criteria fixed by the company as a result of which they were jobless and as such their children's and families are suffering. |
