KATHUA, Sept 12: Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer today felicitated Gurnam Singh, the recipient of prestigious national award for teachers. Serving at Govern-ment Upper Primary School, Lahari, Barnoti, Gurnam Singh is among the 46 teachers of the country to receive the prestigious award.
Hailing the achievement of the awardee Teacher, the DC said that the national-level award is given to teachers to celebrate the unique contribution of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those who have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students.
Highlighting the contribution of Gurnam Singh, the DC said that with a 27 year experience in teaching, Gurnam Singh has never looked back and has given cent percent results up to 8th class in every school he was posted in. Besides, he also helped students from humble background in pursuing their education.
Dr. Langer congratulated Gurnam Singh for his achievements and hoped that other teachers also follow his footsteps. |
