| Students at risk in 'unsafe' Hill Kaka school building | | |  MS Nazki

POONCH, Sept 12: Hundreds of students of Government Middle School, Hill Kaka of zone Buffliaz are at risk because of unsafe buildings. Mohd Shafiq President of Youth Federation Hill Kaka and Mafter after visiting this school said that lakhs of rupees are being released by the Government for the repair and maintenance of buildings of schools but after seeing the dilapidated and unsafe buildings it appears that not a single penny has been spent for the safety of students.
He said that government while pursuing the enrollment in the government schools boasts of qualified teachers and better infrastructure but the reality is somewhat else.
They claimed that these buildings are unable to withstand heavy rains.
The leaders have urged the senior officers of the Education Department to visit these schools immediately and arrange to carry out proper repair and maintenance of these buildings failing which a large scale protest will be held against the department. |
