5th International Show by JKCCA concludes

Jammu, Sept 12: 5th International Art Exhibition organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu at K T Kala, Amritsar concluded today. A valedictory function was held where O P Verma veteran artist and Secretary, Visual Arts, Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar (Punjab) was the Chief Guest whereas Ms. Rekha Mahajan, District Education Officer, Amritsar was the Guest of Honour on this occasion. Participating artists, art lovers and prominent citizens attended the function.
O P Sharma, Director JKCCA said that JKCCA is working with missionary zeal for promotion, propogation and development of Art, Culture and Literature since 1999 and has given platform to artists at National and International level. He also informed that JKCCA is going to organize National Exhibition of the Contemporary Artists of India at Lucknow from 20th to 26th September, 2019, 6th International Art exhibition at Kala Kendra Jammu from 3rd January to 5th January, 2020. Other mega events will also organized by JKCCA at Kala Kendra Jammu, Mansar, Ladakh, Shantiniketan and Dhaka (Bangladesh).
The chief guest of the function O P Verma appreciated the role of JKCCA for promotion of art, culture and literature in the country and abroad. He also appreciated the art works displayed in the exhibition. Rekha Mahajan also expressed her views on this occasion and said that JKCCA is doing a commendable job in the field of Art and culture and hoped that more events will be organized at Amritsar in near future by JKCCA.
In the concluding function O P Sharma director JKCCA was felicitated by the K T Kala, Amritsar and KGN Art & Cultural Society, Amritsar for his outstanding contribution in the field of Art, Culture and Literature.
The vote of thanks was presented by Brajesh Jolly, Director K T Kala, Amritsar.
