Interactive session on TB organized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12: DTO Jammu Dr. Meenakshi Kotwal along with MO, DTC, Dr. Bindu Mahajan interacted with media persons regarding awareness of TB programme to eradicate TB by 2025 to the masses through media. In the interactive session message to the general public was given that TB is a curable disease if treated in time and can prove to be fatal if untreated and unattended. "If we really want to achieve our goal that no one should die due to TB and there is no TB by 2025. All of us have to work hard by finding the TB patients", DTO Jammu said and also explained about symptoms of Tuberculosis. She appealed to the people that they should not hide their disease .If they have such symptoms they should come forward for early detection and treatment. They should avail the benefits that the govt is providing to them i.e. free investigations free treatment and Rs.500 per month for their diet till they are on treatment. It is for the knowledge people suffering from TB that they need to enrol themselves with their proper address, contact no and bank account details. She also emphasized that hygiene, cleanliness, good diet , healthy habits if adopted no disease can invade any individual. |
