Div Com Jammu visits Batote, interacts with PRIs, MC members

Ramban, Sept 12: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com), Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today visited at Batote tehsil of Ramban district as a part of public outreach programme and discussed various developmental issues pertaining to infrastructural development and economic growth of the area.
Div Com sanctioned Handloom Centre for Sanasar and a Composite Demonstration cum Training Centre of Agriculture, Horticulture and Sericulture Department to boost skill development programme besides providing job opportunity to the youth and women folk. He directed the ACD to identify location along Sanasar and other road for establishing common facility centre cum collection and sale point so that local can sale their production on reasonable rates. DDC apprised Verma about the development activities going on in Batote area. During the meeting Div. Com deliberated with the HODs of various departments and Sarpanches of Batote tehsil besides officers of Municipal Committee, Batote here today. After listening to the public representatives of Batote Panchayats and town he deliberated upon various issues with senior officers of the concerned departments led by DDC. He directed the district administration to depute an officer in every panchyat to monitor proceeding of Gramsabha and attendance of field functionaries at there.
Responding to the issue of land for the construction of Solid Waste Management Plant he informed that land has been transferred to the department and Revenue officers were directed to hand over the possession of land to department for the purpose.
EO, MC Batote was directed to take up land acquisition case of proposed parking land. DPO was directed to start all approved works in all panchyats for its timely completion. XEn PDD was directed to start the work to install new power line for Panchyat Thopal. He redressed most of the issues particularly related to infrastructure on the spot in consultation with the concerned officers. Div Com assured the public that their genuine demands would be fulfill in time frame manner.
